Our campsite near Quiberon is the ideal base for exploring the Côte Sauvage, an unspoilt coastal area offering stunning scenery. From our campsite, you can easily reach the coastal path.
Just a few kilometres away, you can also visit the Côte Sauvage (to the west of the Quiberon peninsula). With its endemic flora and fauna, it is a favourite spot for nature lovers. Stretching for 8 kilometres (from Pointe du Percho to Château Turpault), the Côte Sauvage offers spectacular scenery with steep cliffs, secluded coves and unspoilt beaches.
Owned by the Conservatoire du littoral, the Côte Sauvage is constantly battered by the sea and the winds. Even in calm weather, the waves crash noisily against the steep cliffs, sending sprays of foam flying. Erosion has carved out countless coves, reefs, caves and arches here, which are only revealed at low tide. The cliffs are covered with a carpet of short grass where small pink flowers bloom: the sea carnation and sea armeria.
To explore the Côte Sauvage starting from Château Turpault, take the coastal road, which is dotted with numerous parking areas, and follow the coastal path. You’ll discover the ancient Vivier, the Trou du Souffleur, the Port Kerné fountain, the Pointe de Kervihan where the fortifications of a Neolithic camp are visible, Port Bara and its cave, visible at low tide; Port Blanc beach and its arch; Pointe du Percho, dominated by the remains of a customs post; and finally Pointe de Beg en Aud and its Venetic settlement.

As well as hiking, a campsite near Quiberon is ideally situated for exploring the region’s rich historical and cultural heritage. You can also visit the region’s castles, the famous Carnac megaliths and the archaeological remains from the Stone Age.
