The main megalithic site on the peninsula is the Kerbourgnec alignments at Saint-Pierre-Quiberon. It consists of a group of 25 menhirs, some of which are surprisingly shaped, arranged in five rows.
Extending from this, there is also a cromlech comprising 27 further menhirs arranged in a circle. This site is the third largest in Morbihan.
In Quiberon, particular attention should be paid to the Goulvars menhir, situated between the Thalassotherapy centre and Pointe de Conguel; the fallen menhir at Pointe de Beg Er Vil; the menhir in Place du Manémeur; and, of course, the two others on the outskirts of the village, towards Côte Sauvage, known as Jean and Jeanne. A little further on stand the ‘bishop’s hat’ menhir and the decapitated menhir.
The most remarkable dolmens are the one at Le Roch in Saint-Pierre-Quiberon and the one at Port Blanc, on the Côte Sauvage.
